Unsui Sensei, Jinenkan Kancho
Jinenkan Jissen Kobudo

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Fumio Manaka is our Master Instructor and one of the most celebrated heirs to traditional Japanese Samurai arts in the world. Sensei has over 40 years of experience in Kobudo (Japanese martial arts from the feudal period). He took the name Unsui ("independent seeker of enlightenment") as his Budo (martial arts) name when he founded the international Jinenkan™ organization.

Unsui Sensei regularly travels to the United States to conduct training seminars and to directly instruct his students. Likewise, students from Yasuragi Dojo travel to Japan to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and train with Sensei at the Jinenkan Honbu Dojo (headquarters) in Sensei’s home city of Noda, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
